An independent salon

Fugues.

One idea.
Many voices.

Making sense of agents.
Together.

A salon for understanding agentic systems, sharing work in progress, and exploring what becomes possible as agents multiply.

The intention

When agents multiply,
what holds
the work together?

An agent can research, write, code, and act. Several agents can divide the work, challenge one another’s answers, and hand things over. Getting them to work together opens up a different set of questions.

Fugues is a place to look closely. To start with real systems, experiments, and outputs. And to compare perspectives on what works, what breaks, and what we still need to figure out.

In a fugue, independent voices develop a shared theme. A way of thinking about the systems we’re building.

Open questions

Three threads to follow.

And plenty left to discover.
i.

Understand what’s acting.

What is an agent actually doing? With which tools, memory, and constraints? Open up the system and look at the mechanisms and decisions inside.

Systems
ii.

Coordinate the many voices.

Divide tasks, carry context, and orchestrate exchanges. Explore how to coordinate a growing number of agents without losing the thread.

Coordination
iii.

Know a good result when we see it.

Compare approaches, evaluate outputs, and understand failures. Ask what makes a result useful, reliable, and true to the original intention.

Demos, experiments & unexpected turns

Bring something
worth looking at.

A prototype you’re curious about. An experiment that surprised you. A failure we can learn from. Or simply a question worth working through together.

Suggest a demo or a topic Works in progress are very welcome.
